Coastal Defences #92

Wexford County Council are doing sterling work to protect Donaghmore Cemetery from erosion by installing some coastal defences on Roney Beach. Local houses that were literally hanging over the edge have been demolished. The garden of our house is now about 10 metres from the edge and getting closer to the sea. Lots of rocks (from Arklow quarry) are required to protect the coast - the sea will not stop unless more are installed to stop further erosion.

While looking at the scenes below I joined for the first time the millions of people who have broken the glass on their tablet - I dropped my iPad on the rocks below. It's still working, but I feel such an idiot. Shit.
