On Friday last Roma and I attended our daughter Vicki's graduation with a BSc in Culinary Arts Management from Ulster University. The ceremony was held in the Waterfront Hall in Belfast - a fantastic location for such a ceremony. Despite several hundred students graduating, the ceremony went quickly. My heart was bursting with pride hearing Vicki's name called out and seeing her collect her parchment. Vicki looked great and we certainly enjoyed seeing her in cap and gown - very academic! The graduation ceremony in my own college is one of my favourite days of the year. Students look great dressed up and the formalities of the ceremony always fascinate me. It's a day for students to feel very proud of their achievements, and for families to participate with pride.
Congratulations Vicki - well deserved!
